The magnetic forces indicated are for
devices at operating temperature and
for 90% of the rated voltage. They are
achieved when moving horizontally and
apply for a supply voltage of 4.5V DC.
Other voltages and stroke adjustments
are available at a surcharge.
Different supply voltages may lead to
magnetic forces higher or lower than
the specified values owing to the changing
copper factor.
Bistable direct current miniature linear solenoids
Bistable direct current miniature linear solenoids are
double-action linear solenoids for short term and
intermittent duty. After the response phase the
integral permanent magnets hold the plunger in the
end position with a specific holding force in the
unergenised state.
The electromagnetic force is used essentially for the
linear movement and the permanent magnetic force
to hold the plunger in the end position without the
use of electrical energy.
The return movement (overcoming the force of the
permanent magnets) is triggered by a reversed,
possibly lower, voltage impulse depending on the
magnitude of an external return force.
Typical starting current: 0.3 A
Minimum release current: 0.2 A
Maximum release current: 0.4 A
Note:
No characteristic curve is given for this type.
This bistable direct current linear solenoid has very limited force and is switched backwards and forwards between
the two end positions.
The integral return spring moves the plunger back to
the start position.
The customer can fix the solenoid can be fixed in
position by attachment screw on the external diameter.
Parts at risk of corrosion are electro-galvanised to
EN 12329. The plunger is electro-plated with nickel
to EN ISO 4526.
The holding forces of the permanent magnets in the
de-energised state are also reached at the operating
temperature.
