Faculty / 4567Full-Time FacultyAt present, Tsinghua SEM has 121 full-time faculty including 37 professors, 44 associateprofessors, and 40 lecturers (equivalent to assistant professor). Of 121 faculty 92 havePh.D. degrees from top domestic or premier overseas universities, and of faculty members77% have studied abroad.Faculty DevelopmentTsinghua SEM has faculty exchange programs with MIT Sloan School of Management,Harvard Business School, Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, HEC Schoolof Management, Olin School of Business of Washington University and Graduate Schoolof Business of Stanford University. Tsinghua SEM sends its faculty members for trainingto these prestigious business schools as part of its faculty development program.Course Development with International CollaborationsTsinghua SEM sends its faculty members to leading business schools abroad for coursedevelopment. Basically, this includes all MBA courses. In this way, many courses haverapidly developed to meet international standards. At the same time, Tsinghua SEM hasset up an academic exchange network, which allows faculty to actively communicate withtheir peers in the international academic community and this enables them to keep up withadvances in research in their fields.Special-term ProfessorsTsinghua SEM recruited professors from world-class universities and research institutionto join the faculty of the school of Economics, Finance, Management Science andAccounting. These renowned professors come from universities and institutions like MIT,Columbia University, UC Berkeley, Yale University, and International Monetary Fund.While bringing our students the experience of learning from top-level professors, they alsoplay an active role in mentoring young faculty in the School and assist in the developmentof related disciplines.25
