It retainsthe basic range of functions, suchas aperture priority and manual focus andcombines them with the proven Leicarangefinder principle. A simple and intuitivemenu system allows the settings to bechanged on the 2.5" monitor by pressingjust a few buttons.Creative photographyThe electronically controlled metal bladefocal-plane shutter enables shutter speedsof up to 1/8000 second to be achieved.Even in very bright surroundings, the photographerstill has total creative freedomthanks to the selective focus feature withopen aperture. The high flash synchronizationspeed of 1/250 second nowallows daylight flash photographs to betaken with selective focus.Quiet and discreetTo make cocking the shutter as close tosilent as possible, a rubberized silent frictionwheel has been placed in the firstwinding gear stage. A cam disk is used totransfer the force at a constant torqueover the entire path of the cocking arm.As a result, the electric motor cocks theshutter almost soundlessly.
