Fall 2010 Career FairThe <strong>Rinker</strong> <strong>School</strong> held its Fall Career Fair on October 12, 2010,at the O’Connell Center. The career fair was attended by nearly50 companies and approximately 270 students and visitors. Manypre-BCN students attended the fair looking for internships, aswell as alumni and students from other schools within the Collegeand other building construction programs in Florida. The newest Junior 1’s and graduatestudents eagerly listened to the overall message <strong>of</strong> the event: toembrace and take part in the <strong>School</strong>’s many academic, pr<strong>of</strong>essionaland networking <strong>of</strong>ferings. Dr. Abdol Chini, director <strong>of</strong> the <strong>School</strong>,listed the many opportunities in which students may take part, suchJames A. Cumming representatives Rob Maphis (BCN 1993)and Tom Beagles (BCN 2007) and Mackenzie Arnold posewith “Albert” at the career fair.as student competitions, exchange programs and student organizationsand urged students to “get involved in as many activities aspossible.”Several faculty and the BCN College Council president welcomedthe incoming students at the “White Hard Hat Ceremony” into theBCN family and the construction field.Incoming Juniors and Graduate Studentsmeet with the different studentorganizations and competition teamsat the <strong>Rinker</strong> <strong>School</strong>.14
