Preparation and important instructionsfor mounting• It is important to ensure that mounting can be carried out in an environment that is dry and free of dust.• The work station or mounting area must be cleaned before starting. Make sure that clean tools are usedand that operators are familiar with all safety regulations for the equipment used in mounting.• Working with compressed air is prohibited in the mounting area (exception: impact wrench).• The bearings, adapter sleeves, locating rings and regulation discs should not be removed from theiroriginal packaging until immediately before mounting.Caution: Do not wash bearings!• The shaft, sleeves and the inner sections of the housing should be degreased or cleaned.• It must be ensured that the clamping surface is clean and even (min. IT7, measured across diagonal).We recommend a roughness of approx. R a 12.5µm for the clamping surface.• The upper and lower sections of the housing have identical markings on the side. If several housings arebeing mounted simultaneously, they may not under any circumstances be exchanged.The SNC seals include mounting instructions in the packaging.29
