Workingat Long & Foster Real Estate,Inc., in Princeton Junction, hewas selected for cofoundingthe Center for FaithJustice,a nonprofit organization thatinspires hundreds of teens andyoung adults to volunteer inthe crusade against poverty.Established in 2008, the Centerfor FaithJustice is a faith-basednonprofit that serves needyhouseholds over a wide swath,ranging from the inner citiesof central New Jersey to thesmall towns nestled in the AppalachianMountains of WestVirginia. The Center stands onthe Catholic values of service,justice, faith, and educatingmiddle school, high school,and college students aboutpoverty’s ill effects and challengingthem to do somethingabout it.1981Patrick Kirchner, a policeofficer in Mansfield Township,was awarded the Medalof Honor for his service onSeptember 22, 2011 for an“outstanding act of heroismand courage in the line of dutywhile being met by an armedand dangerous adversary,”according to police. When anassailant came at Patrick with alarge kitchen knife, he was ableto shoot off one round, causingthe man to drop the knife. Patrickand his partner were thenable to secure and handcuff thesuspect.1983Br. He isengaged to be married.2001John Geib, a paramedic out ofRobert Wood Johnson in NewBrunswick, took part in rescuinga family in Franklin fromcarbon monoxide poisoning inNovember, in the wake of HurricaneSandy. When he andhis shift partner arrived at thehouse, it was fully consumedwith carbon-monoxide from apropane tank that was poweringa generator. They found acouple and their teenage sonsemi-conscious and were ableto get them out of the housebefore they succumbed to thegas. The family recovered.2002Marc Cangemi will marryJoanna Kenworthy of Glen Rock,NJ on Long Beach Island in May,2013.
