Joyce comes from Medford, Long Island where she owns andmanages Touch-N-Go Farm, famous for its family atmosphere, where she is known for her smile and kind words foreveryone. For the past twenty-seven years she has trained many National, Zone and Local ribbon winners – both inequitation and hunters. Joyce holds a rating in Hunters, Equitation, Jumpers and Hunter Breeding and she is also acertified Jumper Schooling Supervisor working at big shows around the country. Joyce is quite at home will all typesof horses and ponies – from the back yard to the show ring.Doug Raucher from Easthampton, Massachusetts has a broad background in horses. Raised on the family farm heis a third generation horseman who grew up showing, playing polo, and foxhunting as well as participating in teamroping, calf roping and team penning. He showed as a youngster working his way up to winning the National PHAJunior Cup Award. As an instructor he has taught beginners through advanced students, but his main focus hasbeen buying and selling horses - his goal being to find the perfect match between horse and rider. In his spare timehe also is a certified equine dentist.Barbara Filippelli lives with her husband in Pawling, New York and operates Valley Pond Farm out of a largerfacility, Haviland Hollow, where she is the CEO and trainer. A rider and trainer for more than 25 years, Barbarashows hunters and jumpers as well as having qualified many students for indoor <strong>Finals</strong>. Recently she qualified oneof their horses to the prestigious BLM Dressage Championship which will be held in New Jersey this October. Herspecialty is that she is good at analyzing and problem solving issues between horses and their riders, suggestingdifferent training techniques. A very popular judge in hunter, jumper and equitation divisions, Barb judged 43shows around the country in 2010.Ken Whelihan and his wife, Vicki, hail from Otis, Massachusetts, where Vicki is a small animal vet as well as anamateur jumper rider. Ken trains out of two locations, <strong>The</strong> Berkshire Equestrian Center in Richmond, MA andAmherst Farm in Amherst. Ken rode in the Olympic Selection Trials in 1992 and trained over a dozen jumpers tothe grand prix level. He also showed Tanglewood to Zone Horse of the Year twice in the regular working hunters.As a trainer, he has coached riders to the top in NEEC, Marshall & Sterling and CHJA <strong>Finals</strong> and his studentshave placed in all of the national junior finals as well as second in the Ariat <strong>Finals</strong>. When not judging, training,announcing or showing, Ken works full time for the Brook Ledge Horse Transportation Company.Our Course Designer, Norman Bray from Lincolndale, New York is originally from Kentucky. He is a professor ofChemistry and taught for 38 years at the City University of New York before retiring. In the horse world he workedwith Jack Rockwell and was horse show manager of Old Salem Farm for 10 years. In the 90’s he branched out andbecame course designer for many shows in the Fairfield-Westchester area including the FW-PHA, Ox Ridge HuntClub, Chase Meadows, Stepping Stone Farm, the New Canaan Mounted Troop and Ridgefield Equestrian Centerjust to name a few.
