I am a KSA sportsman. I take thisopportunity to speak about my student-life connectedwith KSA.KSA was shifted to Talmakiwadi in 1941. Wecame to stay in Wadi in December1939. I was nineyears oldthen; now I am 79. The Gokarn brothers,Raghunath, Ramesh, Ratnakar, were already heresince January 1939. Within a few years, more studentslike Ramesh Vokettur, Raja Bajekal, Vimla GersappePatil, Nadkarni brothers, Murli and Raghuvir, SureshKati and many others came to stay in Wadi.We, including my brothers Ramesh and Sadu,became student members of KSA and organizedmany activities. We formed students’ committees,started running a library wallpaper etc., besides takingadvantage of games like table tennis, volleyball, carom,chess etc, provided by KSA.KSA has stopped enrolling student members forreasons best known to it and is concentrating only onenrolling Life Members and Benefactors. It is possiblethat many students here are not members of KSAbecause their parents would not enroll them as LifeMembers by paying Rs. 3000. I therefore sincerelysuggest to KSA to re-think and start enrolling studentmembers again.
