ThroughFebruary 2-7, the daily programme includedpoojans, teerth vitaran by Swamiji (afternoons),Deepanamaskar, Ratri Poojan by Swamiji, bhajanseva (evenings). Over 1 lakh samuhik Gayatri Japaswere chanted in all, on Sundays.Sahasra Modak Ganahoma on Angarika Sankashtireceived an enthusiastic response. A three-part talkon ‘Achaman’ by Dharmapracharak Rajagopal Bhatattracted a large audience. On the 13 th OrdinationDay <strong>of</strong> Swamiji, Laghu Rudra Homa and SamuhikGayatri Japa (men) and Devi Anushthan (women)were performed. That evening’s Dharmasabha wasspectacular - Prarthana children welcomed Swamiji;‘deepamallikas’ waved diyas and <strong>of</strong>fered flowers, anda beautiful Guru Vandana was dedicated to Swamiji.Sri Narayan Giri Swamiji’s presence and His simpleyet pr<strong>of</strong>ound Aashirvachan augmented the lustre <strong>of</strong>the occasion. Poojya Swamiji gave an Aashirvachanand sang the soulful “Lago Tujhe Payi”.On February 6, 62 Prarthana children had awonderful interaction with Swamiji. Being an army restricted area, it not opento the public. Cmde Chaitanya Shiroor graciouslymade the necessary arrangements for the excursion.Meeting at a central point (INS India), we travelledby the defence bus to the venue. It was a greatopportunity to see and learn more about horses,mules, stallions and a few newborns as well, as youngas 10 hour old. Both children and adults enjoyed thebuggy rides, kite flying, tug-<strong>of</strong>-war, cricket and so on.Fortunately, the weather was just right after the longstretch <strong>of</strong> gloomy days that had prevailed over thecapital for the past two weeks. Sumptuous breakfast,tea, snacks, lunch and short-eats were served till wewere totally “fed-up”.
