STEP 1: !REGISTRATIONIf you wish to BUY or SELL second hand books you must register .This process has two parts:Part (A) (People selling books only)Supply your child's details, correct BSB and Bank Account details to the school using the proformaattached to the back of this document and submit it to the General Office no later than Tuesday 22ndNovember.Part (B) (People buying or selling books)Register online at emeraldbooksales@gmail.com (see page 4 for details)Important Note 1: ! All proceeds owing to each parent / student from the book sales will bedeposited directly into the account nominated by you (see above). Absolutely No Cash will be Paid.It is critical that you check that your bank details are correct. If your BSB number or account numberare incorrect, we cannot guarantee that your money will be safely deposited into your bank.Important Note 2: ! If you gave the school your Bank Account details during last years secondhand book sale, you do not need to provide them again unless either they, or your circumstances haveSTEP 2: !SUBMIT BOOKS for SALEThis will occur on a specific day depending on your year level.You will need to bring in your books to room S6 at which point their condition will be assessed andthen placed on sale. There will be a non refundable $2.00 fee per book payable on the day. You willalso be provided with an itemised invoice which you must present when collecting unsold books.Year 7, 8 and 9 students will be called up during the day by Home Group. When called, you will needto bring the books you want to sell with you (plus $2.00 per book). VCE and Year 10 students cansubmit books when convenient between 9.00 am and 3.30 pm on the specified days.Submitting books for sale: KEY DATESCurrent Year 11 and 12 Students!! STEP 3: !BUYING SECOND HAND BOOKS<strong>Book</strong> sales will occur in room S6 (Senior Centre) and the store will open at 9.15 am (sharp) and closeat 4.30 pm (sharp) on each of the days below (unless otherwise indicated). The store will not beopen outside of these hours.___________________________________________________________________________2012 VCE Students !! ! ! ! Tuesday 6th December(i.e if you wish to buy text books for 2012 year 11 or 2012 year 12 subjects). Note that books for otheryear levels will NOT be available for sale on this day.___________________________________________________________________________2012 Year 8, 9 and 10 Students! ! ! Friday 9th December(i.e if you wish to buy text books for 2012 year 8, year 9 or year 10 subjects). Note that books for 2012year 7 subjects will NOT be available for sale on this day.___________________________________________________________________________2012 Year 7 Students!! ! ! ! Monday 12th December (evening) and! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! The book shop will be open between 9.00 am to 3.00 pm on both days for unsoldbooks to be collected by their owners. Please present your itemised invoice as proof of ownership.Important NoteAny books not collected on these days will be donated to the library. They will NOT be stored forcollection at a later time and will not be able to be returned.STEP 5: !PAYMENT of PROCEEDS into YOUR ACCOUNTThis will occur once all transactions have been finalised and checked. How to Register OnlineIf you intend to BUYor SELL text books from the second hand book shop it is important that you register onlineAll you have to do is send an email containing YOUR FULL NAME and the Student Codes of all of your childrenattending <strong>Emerald</strong> <strong>Second</strong>ary <strong>College</strong> to: emeraldbooksales@gmail.com.Please make sure that this information is in the SUBJECT BAR of your email browser; NOT in the main text window ofthe email. See below for exampleParent/Guardian to which bookpayment will be made toStudent codes and year levels of only your childrenKEattending ESC that will be selling booksPlease make sure that the email is sent from your email account that you check regularly. The reason for registration isto keep you informed of important dates and information updates which relate directly to second hand book sales at<strong>Emerald</strong> <strong>Second</strong>ary <strong>College</strong>. This information will be used in no other way and will be completely deleted at theconclusion of the book selling period for 2011.For those parents who do not have access to email, important dates will be published in the newsletter2.!
