They orderand receive medications and pharmaceuticalsupplies. They utilize specialized software tomaintain patient profiles, prescription orders,and inventories. Pharmacy technicians/assistants compound prescribed pharmaceuticalproducts by calculating, measuring,and mixing the quantities of drugs and otheringredients required. They assist pharmacistsby ordering, packaging and labelingpharmaceutical products and by maintainingprescription records and inventories of medicationand pharmaceutical products.
