A Message from the Chamber<br />
The <strong>Belmont</strong>-<strong>Central</strong> Chamber of Commerce is<br />
happy to bring you our latest edition of its<br />
<strong>Shopping</strong> Directory and Buyers <strong>Guide</strong>. We hope<br />
the information contained will help you in your shopping<br />
needs and remind you of the many stores and businesses<br />
which abound in the neighborhood. Stores which include<br />
Men and Women’s apparel and jewelry, bookstores, music<br />
and video stores, card shops, florists, home furnishings and<br />
accessories. Great restaurants and grocers catering to a<br />
wide variety of tastes and specialties, as well as cafés and<br />
sweet shops. Area services include auto care, financial<br />
institutions, doctors, dentists, optometrists, and<br />
chiropractors. We also have law offices, accountants,<br />
realtors, and travel consultants.<br />
Adding to the accessibility of the district is our 240 car<br />
capacity parking garage at 3140 N. <strong>Central</strong>. Located just<br />
steps from the main intersection and operated by the City’s<br />
Special Service Area number two, the facility allows free all<br />
day parking for the convenience of our customers.<br />

Commerce Fact Sheet<br />
The Chamber of Commerce is a merchant’s association<br />
comprised of about 100 members.<br />
Although the Chamber of Commerce has been in existence<br />
for quite some time. It was officially incorporated<br />
with the State of Illinois in 1969.<br />
Comprised of seven dedicated Officers, six advisory<br />
board members, and one staff person, the Chamber is<br />
committed to maintaining a strong and viable commercial<br />
district at <strong>Belmont</strong>-<strong>Central</strong>. Currently, <strong>Belmont</strong><br />
<strong>Central</strong> has one of the lowest vacancy rates of all the<br />
neighborhood shopping districts.<br />
The Chamber holds monthly meetings for members<br />
and non-members alike that are free and open to all on<br />
the second Tuesday of every month. A monthly<br />
newsletter of pertinent information is published.<br />
The Chamber sponsors numerous activities each<br />
year, some of which include: Easter Ham Raffle, A visit<br />
from the Easter Bunny, Annual Sidewalk Sale Trade<br />
