RETIRED UNIFORM NUMBERS#14 OTTO GRAHAMFrom 1946-1955, Otto Graham guided the Browns to 10 league crowns and NFL Championships in 1950, 1954 and1955. He led the NFL in passing for two seasons and recorded 23,584 career passing yards. In 1953, Grahamfinished the season with a 64.73 <strong>com</strong>pletion percentage, the highest in club history. He was an All-League selectionfrom 1951-55. Graham was inducted in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1965.#32 JIM BROWNBrown was the NFL’s leading rusher in eight seasons and holds the Browns franchise record for career rushingyards, attempts and touchdowns. An All-America selection from Syracuse in 1956, Brown was named NFL Rookieof the Year in 1957. He participated in nine consecutive Pro Bowls from 1958-66 and was voted NFL most valuableplayer in 1958 and 1965. Brown was inducted in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1971.#45 ERNIE DAVISAfter being selected first in the 1961 NFL draft, the Browns acquired Ernie Davis in a trade with the WashingtonRedskins. Tragically, Davis passed away two years later from leukemia and never played a professional game.A star running back from Syracuse, Davis was the first African-American to win the Heisman Trophy in 1961 andguided the Orangemen to their only national championship the same year.#46 DON FLEMINGDon Fleming was selected by the Chicago Cardinals in the 28th round of the 1959 NFL draft. He was traded to theBrowns in 1960 and was a mainstay at the safety position. From 1960-63, Fleming intercepted 10 passes and wasnamed to The Sporting News All-AFC team in 1962. During the 1963 offseason, Fleming and a co-worker weresadly electrocuted working a construction job. His passing came a few weeks after Ernie Davis’ death.#76 LOU GROZALou Groza is Cleveland’s top scorer with 1,349 points on 234 FGs, 641 PATs and one TD. He scored at least onepoint in 107 consecutive games and his last-second field goal sealed the 1950 NFL Championship for the Browns.Originally an offensive left tackle, Groza suffered a back injury which converted him into a kicking specialist from1961-67. He was an All-NFL tackle on six occasions and was the NFL Player of the Year in 1954.
