JOE SHEEHANJoe Sheehan is entering his fourthas the coordinator of athletic trainingand sports medicine at the Universityof Arkansas.Working closely with assistants AndreTucker and Gordon Williams, Sheehanis responsible for managing theday-to-day care of Browns players incoordination with team physicians. Inaddition, Sheehan and his staff work strength and conditioning staff, creatinga true team approach to the overall care of Browns players.19 intercollegiate sports. He also served as the lead athletic trainer forassistant athletic trainer and the director of rehabilitation. In that role,Sheehan developed and administered player rehabilitation protocols fortation.Sheehan also assisted with the design and implementation of theHEAD ATHLETIC TRAINER- trainer in 1997. In the spring of 1998, he served as an assistant athletictrainer for the Barcelona Dragons as part of NFL Europe. He returned tothe Jaguars as a seasonal athletic trainer in the fall of 1998 before beinghired full-time by Jacksonville in 1999.
