Dr. Patricia NacimientoPartnerFrankfurt am MainPractice ExperiencePatricia Nacimiento’s main area of practiceis dispute resolution. She is responsible forinternational arbitration within White &Case Germany. Her focus lies in disputes inthe areas of construction, post M&A as wellas commercial disputes. Moreover, Dr.Nacimiento specializes in investmentarbitration where she represents both statesand investors.As a party representative, she has conducted over 50 arbitrationproceedings under the rules of numerous arbitration institutions –such as ICC, ICSID, CIETAC, DIS, LCIA, ICDR, Swiss Chamber ofCommerce, Indian Council of Arbitration, Stockholm Chamber ofCommerce and the Danish Institution of Arbitration as well as ad hocproceedings.The German government has appointed her in 2007 as one of fourarbitrators to the panel of arbitrators at the International Centre forSettlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID). She is also regularlyappointed as an arbitrator and has led numerous international ICC-,DIS- and ad hoc arbitration proceedings as a chairperson, solearbitrator or party appointed arbitrator.Ms. Nacimiento regularly holds lectures on the topic of disputeresolution, arbitration and international trade. She is a lecturer forinvestment arbitration at the University of Heidelberg and speaker inthe yearly Summer Academy of the Heidelberg Center for DisputeResolution. She is also a lecturer in the MBA program of theUniversity of Mainz. Ms. Nacimiento is a member of the advisoryboard of the Swiss Arbitration Academy and member of theInternational Law Association’s working group on investmentprotection. She is a member of the ICC Commission on Arbitration,its task forces on Expert Guidelines and the New York Convention,the ICC Commission on Commercial Law and Practice.
