M E H D I M A J I D I<br />
Dr. <strong>Majidi</strong> is a faculty member at the <strong>American</strong> <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Paris</strong> (AUP) and an international<br />
consultant with more than 25 years experience. His key expertise and knowledge lie in the areas <strong>of</strong><br />
international business strategy, cross-cultural management, and engaging the private sector in<br />
socioeconomic development.<br />
As a university faculty member, Dr. <strong>Majidi</strong> has designed and teaches courses in international business<br />
(IB), international mergers & acquisitions (IM&As), global cross-cultural management (GCCM), global<br />
sustainable business (GSB), international entrepreneurship (IE), social entrepreneurship (SE), and highperforming<br />
organizations (HPO). He is the Director <strong>of</strong> MA in Cross-cultural and Sustainable Business<br />
Management Program at AUP and serves on the <strong>University</strong> President’s task force committee for<br />
sustainability. Dr. <strong>Majidi</strong> also designs and provides executive training workshops and serves on editorial<br />
board <strong>of</strong> academic journals.<br />
His consulting projects include industrial development, workforce development, and the design <strong>of</strong> a<br />
solution to measure, monitor, and evaluate the dynamics <strong>of</strong> the socioeconomic progress <strong>of</strong> a country<br />
based on international standards indexes. He has consulted for the U.S. Agency for International<br />
Development (USAID), the U.S. Department <strong>of</strong> Defense (DoD), the U.S. Department <strong>of</strong> Education<br />
(ED), and the World Bank.<br />
Dr. <strong>Majidi</strong> has worked in different countries and speaks several languages. In France, he won the French<br />
Entrepreneurs National Award.<br />

plan proposal and approval, implementation, and hiring visiting faculty members to<br />
managing the program and creating networks between this program and other academic<br />

Project Executive Director: Supporting Egypt’s economic growth initiative through industrial<br />
and workforce development by focusing on the use and implementation <strong>of</strong> information<br />
communication technology (ICT) in industry and educational systems through private sector<br />
participation. <strong>The</strong> workforce development objective was to help Egypt increase its global<br />
competitiveness by leveraging ICT through the implementation <strong>of</strong> IT-in-Schools and the<br />
establishment <strong>of</strong> an IT university. <strong>The</strong> economic-growth objective included skills-gap analysis,<br />
e-readiness assessment, industrial capability and competitiveness assessment, and the<br />
implementation <strong>of</strong> an industrial cluster concept.<br />
Core Team Member: Assisting USAID in advancing the agency-wide practice <strong>of</strong> strategic<br />
planning, performance measurement, and evaluation methodology based on organizational<br />
requirements and the expectation <strong>of</strong> USAID staff, stakeholders, and beneficiaries.<br />

Project Manager: Supporting the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) in moving<br />
toward organization-wide performance improvement, balanced scorecard, and fully automated<br />
and interactive activity-based costing and management (ABCM) implementation; as team leader,<br />
implementing an ABCM model for the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS),<br />
