CT029N DUST COLLECTORGrounding SystemCraftex has included a grounding system withthe CT029N to decrease the shock hazard(although extremely rare). The sawdust beingcollected becomes very dry as it travels throughthe collection pipes or tubes and as it spinsthrough the system it creates a static charge. Ifthis is not grounded, it could give the tooloperator a static shock. Although the electricalshock is extremely minor, it may haveconsequences to some individuals. The grounding of the pipes or tubes will helpeliminate the possibility of these shocks. Thecopper wire included with the grounding kitshould be connected to the steel chassis of thedust collector and fed through a small holemade in the tubing or pipe. The wire shouldthen be fed to the tool being used and groundedto the steel chassis. Should there be more thanone tool connected (through gates) to theCT029N, they should all be grounded asdescribed above.Grounding Kit Model # W1053For more information in regards to this, you mayrefer to the ‘Dust Collection Basics’ book, modelW1053.
