Women Empowerment Cell
A 12 day training programme on “Building
Skills for Self Help Group (SHG) Women in
Establishing Information Kiosks” was conducted
from 9-26 November 2005 in our college. This
was organised in association with Tamilnadu
Corporation for Development of Women Ltd.
Mrs. S. Malarvizhi, Member, Governing Council,
“Sri Krishna” is seen lighting the kuthuvilakku
during the inaugural function. Mrs Sonal B Mishra, IPS (standing beside Dr T Srinivasan,
Dean IT), Commandant, IV Battalion, Kovaipudur was the Chief Guest and Dr Usha
Mehta, M D (standing beside Mrs S Malarvizhi), Kirtilal Kalidas & Co., Guest of Honour
delivered keynote address.

Reader in Electronic Materials, School of
Engineering Sciences, University of Southampton,
UK interacted with Deans, HoDs
and Faculty. He also addressed the faculty
on “Importance of Solar Energy”.
CEO Speaks
Mr. V.R. Muthu, CEO of Idhayam Group of
Companies inaugurated the Business Line Club
and addressed our students on the topic “Business
Mantras” on 8 December 2005. Business Line
Club will bring eminent speakers from industries
to interact with SoM students. The students from
VLB Engg. & Arts also attended the programme.

ISO Training Programme
One day ISO Training Programme for “Sri Krishna”
staff was organised on 10 December 2005. Both internal
as well as external resource persons handled the sessions.

To be a catalyst in the elevation of ‘self’ amongst our students and staff, a spiritual society named ‘Prerana’ (meaning
‘inspiration’) prevails. The society invites eminent personalities from different religions who have conquered their senses to
have interaction with them. Their counselling and guidance would help our students and staff in their quest for elevation of
the inner self.
