The graduates who successfully complete thisprogramme will be able to design interiors in terms of space,materials, detailing and atmosphere. They will be able to sketch,draught, produce advanced computer aided visualisations,including walk-throughs, use the latest software packages, applyadvanced technology and manage design projects. The degreeprogramme has two main orientations: professional and academic.The syllabus for this programme has been created in consultationwith the leading interior architects and interior designers in Ireland.ProgressionHolders of this qualification may wish to pursue apostgraduate diploma or masters programme in interiorarchitecture or related disciplines.Graduates of this course will be able to work as an interior architectin architectural and design practices. On entering the workplacethey will be equipped to undertake interior architectural projectsand independently carry them through to completion. Typically,graduates work on projects in commercial design (galleries, leisurecomplexes, retail units, hotels) and specialist conversion projects,some involving building conservation.
