Portland District Health is a body corporate, listed in the Health Services Act 1988, and operates under the provisions of thisact.The Minister responsible for the administration of the Health Services Act is the Minister for Health, The Hon. Bronwyn PikeMLA.The functions of Portland District Health are:a) To oversee and manage the hospital.b) To ensure that the services provided by the hospital comply with the requirements of the Health Services Act and the objectsof the hospital.The Board consists of up to 12 members appointed by the Governor in Council.
