DO NOTMISS OUTbeth hittleENVPIndependent Consultant, Executive National Vice PresidentBeth Hittle Nation; New Braunfels, TXUnbeknownst to me, my Arbonne adventure started at a family reunion in Mayof 2005. My cousin-in-law, ENVP Emily Alexander, had just signed up as aConsultant with Arbonne and began to share the Arbonne story with mycousin, Shanna Argote (now ENVP), my sister, Linda Watson (now NVP) andme. My cousin, sister and I thought this might be a great opportunity for Emily, but not for us. We all wished her “good luck” in her new venture. She askedif we would try some products and we did. I immediately fell in love with theAwaken Sea Salt Scrub. I told Emily I would buy some product from her tosupport her business. I thought that was the end of that! Little did I know thatGod had a bigger plan for me with Arbonne.A month or so later, my cousin, Shanna, called sounding very excited and toldme she had joined Emily to start her Arbonne business. I was shocked! Nowshe wanted to share the Arbonne opportunity with me again! I told her flat out,“No.” I was not interested. A part of me was curious and I asked myself, “Aretwo of my family members who I love and respect seeing something that I amnot seeing?” I did agree to try a NutriMinC ® RE 9® skin care set, to be nice. After a few days, I really liked products and agreed to listen to what Shannahad to say. After our conversation, I could not sleep. I called my sister, Linda,to see what she thought. I was sure that Shanna had already talked to her.She has more of an entrepreneurial spirit than I do, and she kept asking,“What if?” and, “Why not?” So, after some serious thought and prayer, Idecided to start my business full force. I jumped on board and have neverlooked back.I have learned so much about myself on this journey. I can make a difference. That may seem passé, but let me share with you a little about myself. I havedyslexia. I have struggled with this learning disability since I was young, notreally knowing why I learned differently. The day I graduated from collegewas one of the best days of my life, not only because of the accomplishment, but because I knew I would not have to struggle in the classroom ever again. When Arbonne was introduced to me, the idea of starting a business, speakingin front of people, keeping records and staying organized was something thatI did not know if I was ready to undertake. I have two precious children, Katie,15 and Kyle, 13 and an incredible husband, Karl. I was happy and contentin my life, yet there was a part of me that needed something just for me. Buta business all my own? When I decided to start my Arbonne adventure, I knewthat I would have to be twice as tenacious as everyone else. I knew it wouldbe harder for me than for most. I knew that I had to get over real fears that Iwould face every day. I also knew, however, that God made me this way fora reason. I could use the talents that I had been given to their fullest and makea difference, or I could continue life “as is.” I chose to make a difference! The Hittle family: Kyle, Karl, Bethand Katie.Beth’s Why: Katie and Kyle.Beth with husband, Karl, on the NVPretreat in Hawaii.
