The goals below complement theFuture Land Use Plan (in Chapter 4) and aim fororderly growth and future development that iscompatible with the small Town of Norwood andthe rural areas and agriculture outside it.Specifically they address:1. Overall balanced land uses andcoordinated growth,2. Planned Town of Norwood growth,3. Town residential and housing inneighborhoods,4. Norwood commercial core,5. Industry and jobs,6. Compatible rural residential, and7. Viable and sustained agriculture andnatural resources.Goal LU 1 – Balanced Land Usesand Coordinated GrowthPromote coordinated, compatible, andbalanced land use activity on Wright’sMesa, distinguishing between town-leveldevelopment and rural uses to plan forefficient and orderly growth and toretain the character of the area.7
