Town &COUNTYTown Website adds New “Transparency” Feature to promoteAccountability to ResidentsThe Town’s website, CRgov.com, changes in small ways almostevery day. Recently, though, three major changes were implementedon the site. All <strong>of</strong> the changes help foster transparency<strong>of</strong> Town government to the public.The most major change was the addition <strong>of</strong> a transparencyportal, which can be accessed via the brown TransparencyPortal button on the left side <strong>of</strong> every page on the website,or at CRgov.com/transparency.The portal was created as part <strong>of</strong> a countywide effort to increaseaccountability to residents. It includes information oncommunity connections, elections, Town financials, land use,lobbying, open records and public meetings. It helps furtherthe Town values <strong>of</strong> clear, direct and honest communication;responsible care for our resources; and exceptional publicservice.In addition to improving transparency, all <strong>of</strong> these efforts alsoaim to improve CRgov.com visitors’ experiences. Commentsregarding these new features – or any other aspect <strong>of</strong> thetown website – can be directed tocommunityrelations@CRgov.com or 303-660-1380.Plan Demonstrates Residential and Commercial uses forCentral <strong>Castle</strong> <strong>Rock</strong> LandLarge landowners in central <strong>Castle</strong> <strong>Rock</strong> will present a preliminaryplan, for how their land could ultimately be developed,to Town Council and the Town Planning Commission. The 950acres included in the plan are east and west <strong>of</strong> Interstate 25,stretching from Colorado Highway 86 on the east to the BurlingtonNorthern Santa Fe railroad tracks west <strong>of</strong> Liggett Roadon the west. The area is bounded by The Woodlands/Escaveraon the south and by Metzler Ranch on the north.If the development comes to fruition, it will be the largest newdevelopment in <strong>Castle</strong> <strong>Rock</strong> since 2007. The plan will bepresented at a joint Town Council and Planning Commissionmeeting on July 12, which begins at 6 p.m. in Council<strong>Chamber</strong>s at Town Hall, 100 N.
