ROTARY LIMIT SWITCHESROTARY GEAR LIMIT SWITCHES - GENERAL OPERATIONThe rotary limit switch is used to controlthe movement of industrial machinery. Itoperates as an auxiliary controller of electricalmotors through a power interface, such as acontactor or PLC. Suitable for heavy duty, itsshaft is connected to the motor and, after aset number of revolutions, the cams operatethe switches, thus starting the predeterminedmovement.N3Revolution ratios ranging from 1:1to 1:9400 results from the use of differentcombinations of gear wheels between the inputshaft and the output shaft, which is connectedto the cams operating the micro-switches.The cam-switch sets can be substituted forpotentiometers suitable for the connection ofelectronic equipment.Each cam can be set with great accuracyusing the cam adjusting screws. The microswitchesare of a positive opening type, thussuitable for safety functions. It is available withdirect control switches for operating directly onthe motor. Materials and components are wearresistant and protect the equipment againstwater and dust.The part number listed for each modeltype utilize the standard, or most commonratio’s.
