• Don Webber and Arthur Carrillo attend the Cristo Rey Provincial
Chapter, June 3-9, in Mexico.
• Hugo Esparza-Pérez visited the Passionist communities in Mexico.
The new Cristo Rey Provincial Council will assign Hugo where he will
fit best within their Province for the next few years.
• Jim O’Shea of St. Paul of the Cross Province has invited
Hugo Esparza-Pérez to travel to Haiti June 11-14, while Jim is there
conducting Visitation with Rick Frechette.
• Passionist missionaries from Vietnam and Papua New Guinea will be
in the States to conduct mission appeals from May until September:
Jefferies Foale of Australia and Thomas Annamattahil of India, who
work in Vietnam, and James Elmore of Australia, who works in Papua
New Guinea. We welcome them to the States and wish them well in
their work to raise money for the missions.
• We welcome Bruno D’Souza and Giltus Mathias who will be
preaching weekend Mission Appeals this summer.
• E. John Hilgert has been ministering as an ecclesial priest of the
WWME (Worldwide Marriage Encounter) for the Sacramento,
Stockton and Reno dioceses.

began novitiate with their Vestition Ceremony in India.

Richard Thomson will be the novice master for the
2013 Novitiate at the International House of
Formation in Adelaide, Australia. Beginning June
18, six young men will be in Manila at the Loyola
Heights Theologate of St. Paul of the Cross, where
they will begin language training in preparation for
their entry into the novitiate. The six candidates are
made up of two young men each from China, Korea
and Vietnam. They will be joined by two or three
candidates from Papua New Guinea. Richard Thomson
Visitation...
Joe Moons, First Provincial Consultor, conducted Visitation with
members of Immaculate Conception Community in Chicago, Illinois.
He celebrated Eucharist with them in their home chapel, and on
Friday night, they shared a special supper prepared by the
community's chef, Mike Higgins.
