4(334Had they really intended to set out [with you],they would surely have made some preparationsfor that. (48)There is among them [many a] one who may say:‘Give me leave to stay behind, and do not exposeme to temptation.’ Surely they have succumbed totemptation. Hell is certain to engulf theunbelievers. (49)Your good fortune grieves them; but if a disasterbefalls you, they will say: ‘We are lucky to havetaken our precautions.’ Thus they turn awayrejoicing. (50)Say: ‘Nothing will befall us except what God hasdecreed. He is our Guardian.
