It starts withdefining the relationship between a Muslim and his Lord, the nature of <strong>Islam</strong> and anoutline of <strong>Islam</strong>ic duties and methods of action.• Embracing <strong>Islam</strong> is described as a deal in which the buyer is God while thebeliever is the seller. Since it is a sale to God, believers have no say overanything in their lives. Neither their property nor their person can be withheldfrom serving God’s cause. The final product is that God’s word should besupreme, and all submission is made to God alone. The price a believerreceives in this deal is admittance into heaven, which is far superior in valueto the commodity he offers. Therefore, he receives it as a favour from God:“God has bought of the believers their lives and their property, promising them heavenin return: they fight for the cause of God, kill and be killed. This is a true promisewhich He has made binding on Himself in the Torah, the Gospel and the Qur’ān. Whois more true to his promise than God? Rejoice, then, in the bargain you have madewith Him.
