AnnualHONOR ROLLof DONORSDear Friends of NDCL,The following pages highlight the private philanthropythat secured the school’s operating budget during the fiscalyear that ended on June 30, 2007.Last year, the collection of tuition and fees accounted forabout 86% of the school’s $7 million operating budget.The balance (nearly $1 million) comes from othersources, such as the school’s annual fundraising events(the NDCL Golf Classic and the Lion’s Mane Event), interestearned on the school’s investments, and some limitedgovernment funding. Each of these is an important partof NDCL’s revenue stream – every year.Personal and corporate giving makes up a significantpiece of the NDCL revenue pie. The school’s Annual Fundhad its most productive year in the past five, both interms of dollars raised ($173,842) and number of giftsreceived (1,007) – spurred by a record number ofFounders Club members (44) and their dollars contributed($105,928).I was especially impressed with the giving by our newestNDCL alumni, the Class of 2007. Over 50 of the 178 graduatingseniors contributed to their Senior Class Gift forthe Annual Fund. Clearly, our young alumni realize thevalue of their Catholic education and the importance ofpitching in to ensure its success.NDCL remains grateful to them and to the many families,alumni and friends who support the school financiallyand in so many other important ways. Together, we canprovide another successful year for our students.This fall we will be unveiling the NDCL Fund to all of ourconstituents. The NDCL Fund will essentially replace theterm “Annual Fund” but will continue to emphasize theimportance of giving in support of current operations.
