Professor Max Dohmann
On a warm day in March, Professor
Max Dohmann gladly accepted an
interview in the No. 8 Courtyard,
an old-style architecture used as a guest-
house on West China Campus, Sichuan
University (SCU). Professor Dohmann is
an honorary professor of SCU and one of
the first few foreign experts who came to
SCU through the SCU Senior Professor
Recruitment Program. He reflected on his
experience of and rewards from decades
of involvement in research and his con-
nections to SCU in the last two decades.

Max Dohmann, an honorary professor
of Sichuan University (SCU), gladly re-
ceived an interview in the No. 8 Court-
yard, a traditional-style architecture used
as a guesthouse on West China Campus,
SCU. He was among the first few foreign
experts who came to SCU through the
Senior Professor Recruitment Program
(SPRP). Professor Dohmann reflected
on the decades he spent on research and
shared his experiences. He also talked
about his connections with SCU in the
last two decades.
Unreserved Dedication to Research
Professor Dohamann entered col-
lege in 1960 and has been dedicated
to research in water environment ever
since then. His success in the field is well
recognized. He has served in various aca-
demic and social capacities and enjoys
high prestige in society. Because of his
outstanding contribution to water envi-
ronment protection, Professor Dohmann
has won numerous honors and awards.
