Professor Max Dohmann<br />
On a warm day in March, Professor<br />
Max Dohmann gladly accepted an<br />
interview in the No. 8 Courtyard,<br />
an old-style architecture used as a guest-<br />
house on West China Campus, Sichuan<br />
University (SCU). Professor Dohmann is<br />
an honorary professor of SCU and one of<br />
the first few foreign experts who came to<br />
SCU through the SCU Senior Professor<br />
Recruitment Program. He reflected on his<br />
experience of and rewards from decades<br />
of involvement in research and his con-<br />
nections to SCU in the last two decades.<br />

Max Dohmann, an honorary professor<br />
of Sichuan University (SCU), gladly re-<br />
ceived an interview in the No. 8 Court-<br />
yard, a traditional-style architecture used<br />
as a guesthouse on West China Campus,<br />
SCU. He was among the first few foreign<br />
experts who came to SCU through the<br />
Senior Professor Recruitment Program<br />
(SPRP). Professor Dohmann reflected<br />
on the decades he spent on research and<br />
shared his experiences. He also talked<br />
about his connections with SCU in the<br />
last two decades.<br />
Unreserved Dedication to Research<br />
Professor Dohamann entered col-<br />
lege in 1960 and has been dedicated<br />
to research in water environment ever<br />
since then. His success in the field is well<br />
recognized. He has served in various aca-<br />
demic and social capacities and enjoys<br />
high prestige in society. Because of his<br />
outstanding contribution to water envi-<br />
ronment protection, Professor Dohmann<br />
has won numerous honors and awards.<br />
