THE SPECIAL STAFF 24-26j. Collection and dissemination of information pertainingto hostile artillery and other targets through artillery intelligence agencies.• 25. CHEMICAL OFFICER.—a. Adviser to the commander andstaff on all chemical matters, including the use of chemicalsby the various arms.b. Preparation of plans for the use of chemical troops, including recommendations for their allotment to subordinateunits.c. Supervision of the operations of chemical troops not assigned to subordinate units.rf. Supervision, within limits prescribed by the commander,of all chemical training, including inspections.e. Supervision, within limits prescribed by the commander,of collective protective measures, including gas-proofing ofinclosures, and the decontamination of gassed areas, equipment, and vehicles./.
