The WCCCD Interactive Television system currently allows students to take live classes byvideoconferencing at all campus locations. Text, graphics, and audio are sent to thestudents’ computers simultaneously for online collaboration and learning with an instructor. Course sessions may be archived for review ormakeup of missed class sessions.COMPUTER SKILL REQUIREMENTSWhile there is no need to be a computer “techie,” it is important to have a working knowledge of your computer peripherals andsoftware applications.MINIMUM EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTSStudents should have access to a computer at home, in a campus computer lab, or their community. The computer should have the following:Headset with microphone in classroom, computer labs, or community; a microphone and speakers or earphone at home.Platform: PC (Windows XP, Vista, 7), Mac (OSX 10.5, 10.6)Hardware: 2 GB of RAM, 2 G of free disk space, sound card with speakerModem: Ethernet or wireless network cardSoftware: Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat Reader.
