New building dedicated
The J. Paul and Eleanor McIntosh College of Nursing was officially opened during a Ribbon Cutting

The facility, furnishings, and equipment were funded through an $11.9 million capital campaign.

Danish educators visit Northeast Broadcasting Department

John Skogstoe spent
considerable time with them
explaining Northeast’s KHWK/
Hawk TV. He said they brought
many questions with them and
were enthused about introducing
their students to multimedia
production and eventual
establishment of a campus TV
station at the Denmark college.
Skogstoe said, “They asked
a lot of questions about our
equipment and student roles
in the production of both radio
and TV programming,” he said.
Northeast faculty and staff
will continue to communicate
with the Danes. The visitors and
hosts discussed shared projects
for some classes. It was suggested
that perhaps Northeast
students and Aarhus Business
College students could share
and exchange work on class
projects via teleconferencing/
ITV/skype or any other media
for courses like international
business and entrepreneurship.
Skogstoe said he would like
to visit Aarhus Business College
in Aarhus City. “Eventually,
we would like to set up an
exchange program, where our
students can travel there and
Danish students can visit Northeast
Community College,” he
said.
“This was a great opportunity
for both our Danish visitors
and us,” Skogstoe said. “We
can all learn so much from each
other. I hope we continue to
communicate with each other
for a very long time.”
