Schneider Electric DemonstratesStrong Capability on EnergyEfficiencyA workshop to share expertise with key industryand buildings customers atthe 14th France-Chinese Economic ForumShanghai, China, April 10th 2008——Schneider Electric, the world’s power andcontrol specialist, demonstrated its “Energy Efficiency” solutions through a workshop,held in Shanghai entitled ‘Sharing Energy Efficiency Expertise and CommonPractices in Chinese and International Industries and Buildings’. The dialoguesession was targeted to benefit Schneider Electric’s key industry and buildingscustomers. Schneider Electric’s global CEO, Jean-Pascal Tricoire, gave a speech atthe meeting.He said, "Schneider Electric demonstrated a great organic growth in 2007, and thisyear is also an important year for our development in China. Today, energy shortageis an increasingly challenging topic for business enterprises, and our new mission willhelp people make the most of their energy by providing integrated energy efficiencysolutions, especially in the industry and buildings sectors. Our target is to save up to30% of China’s energy consumption.”The workshop was held at the Fourteenth Franco-Chinese Economic Forum, whichgathered around 100 participants from various enterprises interested to invest inChina and do business with Chinese companies. The China Council organized theForum, opened on Thursday, for the Promotion of International Trade, the ShanghaiMunicipal People's Government and the France-China Committee. Chaired by formerpresident of France, Mr. Valery Giscard d’Estaing, the dialogue session focused oneffective business partnership strategies in China.10
