BOYS AND GIRLS YOUTH BASKETBALLKids, hit the court bouncing, passing, and shooting. <strong>Fruita</strong> <strong>Parks</strong> and <strong>Recreation</strong> will continue to interleague with Grand Junction <strong>Parks</strong> and<strong>Recreation</strong> this year. Residents in the <strong>Fruita</strong> area are welcome to register with <strong>Fruita</strong>. <strong>Fruita</strong> <strong>Parks</strong> and <strong>Recreation</strong> will create teams, schedulepractices, order t-shirts, and schedule pictures for those who register with FPR. Games will be scheduled by Grand Junction <strong>Parks</strong> and <strong>Recreation</strong>and will be played at various middle schools throughout the valley. <strong>Fruita</strong> <strong>Parks</strong> and <strong>Recreation</strong> teams will play games in the Grand Junction <strong>Parks</strong>and <strong>Recreation</strong> league.League Information: Teams are formed by <strong>Parks</strong> and <strong>Recreation</strong> staff based on school attendance area. NO requests for coaches willbe taken or granted. ONE carpool request may be submitted per child, and that request is not guaranteed. All carpool requests must be submittedin writing.3rd Grade: Players use a junior size ball and play on 8 foot hoops. 3rd grade coaches will <strong>of</strong>ficiate their game. Score is not kept.4th Grade: Players use a junior size ball and play on 8 foot hoops. Score is not kept.5th Grade: Players use an intermediate size ball and play on regulation hoops. Score is kept.6th Grade: Players use an intermediate size ball and play on regulation hoops. Score is kept.7th & 8th Basketball League for Boys and Girls:Players will use a regulation women’s ball during girls and a regulation men’s ball during boys and play on regulation hoops. Score is kept in7th/8th grade and games are at <strong>Fruita</strong> Monument High School on Sundays. This league is NOT for AAU players and will follow <strong>Parks</strong> and <strong>Recreation</strong>guidelines.
