D13 OnTour: ESPRIT Project No. 269561 INTRODUCTIONThe subject of task 1.3 is the capturing of the user requirements and the modelling of anoptimised to-be situation. The deliverable D13 summarises the activities as well as resultsof the task.Based on the task 1.1 – Modelling of the As-is Situation – and task 1.2 – Drawback Analysisof Current Processes – the final task of WP1 (cf. Figure 1) has been carried out to specifyan OnTour scenario that meets the requirements of the industrial partners. The objectiveof the subsequent WP 2 – Specification of the OnTour Architecture – is to detail the architectureand functionality of the OnTour solution in order to prepare the implementation ofthe first prototypes.Work Package 1Process Re-engineeringTask 1.1Modelling of the As-is SituationTask 1.2Drawback Analysis of Current ProcessesTask 1.3Definition of theTo-be SituationFigure 1: Tasks of Work Package 1The following chapter contains definitions to clarify terms of the tourist terminology. Afterexplaining the approach to implement task 1.3 in chapter 3, the results of the task are providedin the chapters 4 and 5.Chapter 4 summarises the specific requirements of the OnTour industrial partners and describesthe extracted generic requirements. By considering the requirements a first conceptof the OnTour architecture will be introduced (cf. chapter 5.1). Section 0 contains the descriptionof the reference model. The reference model outlines the optimised to-be situationby means of IDEF0 diagrams in relation to a computer supported task processing. Moreover, it is stated, how the envisaged OnTour solution aims to fulfil the defined requirements. The expected benefits of the OnTour scenario are defined in chapter 5.3. Finally, chapter 6 concludes this deliverable.7 June 1999 D13V04S3 Page 5
