Grant also reviewed the Budget for 2010. Net income is expected to be about $8,000 for 2010;the reduction is primarily due to the costs of the audit to be conducted during 2010 and increasedlegal costs associated with the enforcement action initiated by the Associated which the Presidentreported upon. The Association has also budgeted a total of $25,000 in capital expenditures, fordrainage projects and replacing and refurbishing equipment and the Clubhouse furniture andfurnishings during 2010.During a question and answer session that followed the financial report, the following werediscussed: the authority of the Association to raise the homeowners' annual fees; the cost of theaudit; assumptions utilized in developing the budget and consideration of potentially nonrecurringexpenses, such as for the enforcement action; and the expected actual capitalexpenditures compared to the Budget.6. ELECTION OF DIRECTORSThe President indicated that three candidates were listed on the Ballot, as they had submittedtheir names earlier this year in response to the letter sent to members soliciting candidates for theopen positions on the Board for the two‐year term beginning in 2010, and one vote had beensubmitted for a separate write‐in candidate. The President announced that except for the onevote for the write‐in candidate, the rest of the 128 votes represented at the Meeting voted forJohn Harrison, Davison Grant, and Richard Schley to fill the open positions on the Board ofDirectors for the two‐year‐term beginning in 2010. Motion by acclamation to approve the resultsof the election as reported by the President; seconded by Mr. Dully; the motion carried by themargin indicated by the President.3
