11. SELECTION PROCEDURESTAGE - I (Physical efficiency test/Physical standards test)1. PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY TEST (PET) / RACE:For BUGLER /TAILOR/ BRASS BAND/ COBBLER/ CARPENTER/ GARDENER/PAINTER / COOK/WATER CARRIER / SAFAI KARAMCHARI /BARBER / WASHERMAN/WOMEN:-At the beginning of the recruitment process, male candidates will be subjected to1 mile race to be completed within 10 minutes and female candidates will be subjected to1 mile race to be completed within 12 minutes. This test will be only qualifying innature. Candidates who do not qualify the race would be eliminated from therecruitment process by giving rejection slip intimating reasons for rejection by PresidingOfficer.Note: No PET will be held for Ex-servicemen. However ex-serviceman will be required toqualify requisite written test, trade test and medical examination.FOR (DRIVER/FITTER) :-HEIGHT BAR TEST/ RACEAt the beginning of the recruitment process, candidates will be asked to gothrough the height bar and thereby those with lesser height will be eliminated.Candidates qualified in height bar will be subjected to 5 Kms race to be completed in 24minutes. This test will be only qualifying in nature. Candidates who do not qualify therace would be eliminated from the recruitment process by giving rejection slip intimatingreasons for rejection by Presiding Officer.b) SCREENING OF TESTIMONIALS:-No testimonial/ certificates are required to be attached with applicationform by the candidates. Required original testimonials/ documents of those candidateswho have qualified one mile/5 Kms race will be checked and only eligible candidates willbe permitted to the next stage of the recruitment. Candidates who fail to produce therequisite testimonials/certificates will be eliminated from the recruitment process and inno case candidates will be allowed provisionally. Candidates being considered forvacancies reserved for reserved categories i.e. SC, ST and OBC shall produce castecertificate in proforma as prescribed in Annexure-‘I’ and ‘II’.
PHYSICAL MEASUREMENT:The candidates found eligible on screening of testimonials will be screened forheight, chest(for male candidates only) and weight by the Board of Officers. Thecandidates who meet the requirements of physical standard will be allowed to participatein the written test. The candidates who do not fulfill the laid down physical standardswill be eliminated from the recruitment process by giving rejection slip intimatingreasons for elimination by Presiding Officer. Any dispute in measurement will be settledby the Presiding Officer of the recruitment board on the spot whose decision will be final.WRITTEN TEST:STAGE-IIThe candidates who qualified in PST/PET above will be required to appear for writtentest comprising of two parts as mentioned below:-PART-I Consists of 50 objective type questions carrying 1mark each to assess the (i) Generalawareness/General knowledge, (ii) knowledge ofelementary mathematics, (iii) Analytical aptitude, (iv)Ability to observe and distinguish patterns and to testthe (v) basic knowledge of the candidates inEnglish/Hindi. The question papers will be bilingualcan be answered in Hindi or in English. The standardof question papers will be of a class 10 passedcandidate.: 50 MarksPART-IITrade test will be separate for each trade and willconsist of both objective/ multiple choice typequestions to assess the knowledge of respective tradefor which a candidate has applied.: 50 MarksThe written test will be for 100 marks and for 2 hours duration. The paper will have to be answeredeither in Hindi or English only. Part-I & II to be answered using a pen only and use of pencil will notbe allowed.STAGE-IIITRADE TEST(PRACTICAL):- (QUALIFYING IN NATURE) :-The candidates who qualify written test will be put through practical trade test. Duringtrade test a candidate will be asked to perform any activity pertaining to that particular trade
