the concerned District Magistrate of the district where the victim was killed, should beattached with the application.c) Upper age limit upto 05 years is also relaxable for those persons who had orig<strong>in</strong>ally beendomiciled <strong>in</strong> the State of J & K dur<strong>in</strong>g the period <strong>from</strong> 1 st January, 1980 to 31 stDecember,1989. The persons claim<strong>in</strong>g relaxation under this category should produce acertificate to the effect that they had been domiciled <strong>in</strong> the State of J & K dur<strong>in</strong>g theperiod <strong>from</strong> 1 st January,1980 to 31 st December,1989 <strong>from</strong> the District Magistrate with<strong>in</strong>whose jurisdiction they had orig<strong>in</strong>ally resided or <strong>from</strong> any authority designated <strong>in</strong> thisbehalf by the Govt. of J & K.d) The children and dependent family members of those who were killed <strong>in</strong> the riots of 2002 <strong>in</strong>Gujarat would be eligible for relaxation <strong>in</strong> upper age limit by 5 years. If the applicantbelongs to SC/ST or OBC category, the relaxation so provided <strong>in</strong> this clause will be <strong>in</strong>addition to the age relaxation as applicable <strong>in</strong> (a) above. To claim this relaxation acertificate <strong>from</strong> the concerned District Magistrate of the district where the victim waskilled, should be attached with the application.(B) EDUCATION QUALIFICATION:-Matriculation or equivalent <strong>from</strong> a recognized Board/ University.C) TECHNICAL QUALIFICATION:-For Driver : Should possess “Transport vehicle driv<strong>in</strong>g license and pass the driv<strong>in</strong>g test.For Fitter : Should possess a certificate <strong>from</strong> ITI or any other recognized <strong>in</strong>stitution <strong>in</strong> thetrade of Auto mobiles fitter/ motor mechanic and should have one ye<strong>are</strong>xperience. However, wards of CRPF, who have undergone tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> ITIs runby CRPF will be exempted <strong>from</strong> one year practical experience. 5. PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY TEST:For ( Driver / Fitter ) :-The candidate should qualify 5 Kms race <strong>in</strong> 24 m<strong>in</strong>utes . This test will be onlyqualify<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> nature and will not carry any marks. Candidate who do not qualify therace would be elim<strong>in</strong>ated <strong>from</strong> the recruitment process by giv<strong>in</strong>g rejection slip<strong>in</strong>timat<strong>in</strong>g reasons thereof by Presid<strong>in</strong>g Officer.For BUGLER /TAILOR /BRASS BAND / COBBLER/ CARPENTER/ GARDENER/PAINTER /COOK/ WATER CARRIER / SAFAI KARMACHARI /BARBER / WASHERMAN/WOMANThe candidate should be physically fit <strong>in</strong> all respects. The Male candidates shouldbe able to complete 1 mile race <strong>in</strong> 10 m<strong>in</strong>utes. The Female candidates should complete1 mile race <strong>in</strong> 12 m<strong>in</strong>utes.6. MEDICAL STANDARDa) Vision: M<strong>in</strong>imum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of both eyes withoutcorrection i.e without wear<strong>in</strong>g glasses.b) The Candidates must not have knock-knee, flat foot, varicose ve<strong>in</strong> or squ<strong>in</strong>t <strong>in</strong>eyes and they should possess high colour vision. They must be good <strong>in</strong>mental and bodily health and free <strong>from</strong> any physical defect likely to<strong>in</strong>terfere with the efficient performance of the duties.7. DOMICILE STATUSThe domicile certificate as issued by the competent authority as <strong>prescribed</strong> byState Govt <strong>in</strong> the <strong>prescribed</strong> form should be accepted to ascerta<strong>in</strong> domicile of thecandidates. In the case of SC/ST/OBC candidates whose caste certificate clearly<strong>in</strong>dicates their State of domicile, then separate domicile certificate is not required.8. CONDITIONS FOR EX-SERVICEMEN<strong>1.</strong> Ex-Servicemen means a person who has served <strong>in</strong> any rank (Whether as a combatantor as a non-combatant) <strong>in</strong> the regular Army, Navy and Air Force of the Indian Unionbut does not <strong>in</strong>clude a person who has served <strong>in</strong> the Defence Security Corps, the


i) All the posts <strong>are</strong> combatised and purely temporary but likely to cont<strong>in</strong>ue. The selectedcandidates <strong>are</strong> liable to be posted anywhere <strong>in</strong> India or outside India and the servicehas all India liability.ii) New Contributory Pension scheme to Central Govt. employees, which has come <strong>in</strong>toeffect w.e.f. 01/01/2004, will be applicable to all selected candidates.10. SCALE OF PAYPay Band-1 (Rs. 5200 – 20200) Plus Grade Pay of Rs.2000/- plus usual allowances asadmissible to Central Govt. employees <strong>from</strong> time to time.


1<strong>1.</strong> SELECTION PROCEDURESTAGE - I (Physical efficiency test/Physical standards test)<strong>1.</strong> PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY TEST (PET) / RACE:For BUGLER /TAILOR/ BRASS BAND/ COBBLER/ CARPENTER/ GARDENER/PAINTER / COOK/WATER CARRIER / SAFAI KARAMCHARI /BARBER / WASHERMAN/WOMEN:-At the beg<strong>in</strong>n<strong>in</strong>g of the recruitment process, male candidates will be subjected to1 mile race to be completed with<strong>in</strong> 10 m<strong>in</strong>utes and female candidates will be subjected to1 mile race to be completed with<strong>in</strong> 12 m<strong>in</strong>utes. This test will be only qualify<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>nature. Candidates who do not qualify the race would be elim<strong>in</strong>ated <strong>from</strong> therecruitment process by giv<strong>in</strong>g rejection slip <strong>in</strong>timat<strong>in</strong>g reasons for rejection by Presid<strong>in</strong>gOfficer.Note: No PET will be held for Ex-servicemen. However ex-serviceman will be required toqualify requisite written test, trade test and medical exam<strong>in</strong>ation.FOR (DRIVER/FITTER) :-HEIGHT BAR TEST/ RACEAt the beg<strong>in</strong>n<strong>in</strong>g of the recruitment process, candidates will be asked to gothrough the height bar and thereby those with lesser height will be elim<strong>in</strong>ated.Candidates qualified <strong>in</strong> height bar will be subjected to 5 Kms race to be completed <strong>in</strong> 24m<strong>in</strong>utes. This test will be only qualify<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> nature. Candidates who do not qualify therace would be elim<strong>in</strong>ated <strong>from</strong> the recruitment process by giv<strong>in</strong>g rejection slip <strong>in</strong>timat<strong>in</strong>greasons for rejection by Presid<strong>in</strong>g Officer.b) SCREENING OF TESTIMONIALS:-No testimonial/ certificates <strong>are</strong> required to be attached with applicationform by the candidates. Required orig<strong>in</strong>al testimonials/ documents of those candidateswho have qualified one mile/5 Kms race will be checked and only eligible candidates willbe permitted to the next stage of the recruitment. Candidates who fail to produce therequisite testimonials/certificates will be elim<strong>in</strong>ated <strong>from</strong> the recruitment process and <strong>in</strong>no case candidates will be allowed provisionally. Candidates be<strong>in</strong>g considered forvacancies reserved for reserved categories i.e. SC, ST and OBC shall produce castecertificate <strong>in</strong> proforma as <strong>prescribed</strong> <strong>in</strong> Annexure-‘I’ and ‘II’.


PHYSICAL MEASUREMENT:The candidates found eligible on screen<strong>in</strong>g of testimonials will be screened forheight, chest(for male candidates only) and weight by the Board of Officers. Thecandidates who meet the requirements of physical standard will be allowed to participate<strong>in</strong> the written test. The candidates who do not fulfill the laid down physical standardswill be elim<strong>in</strong>ated <strong>from</strong> the recruitment process by giv<strong>in</strong>g rejection slip <strong>in</strong>timat<strong>in</strong>greasons for elim<strong>in</strong>ation by Presid<strong>in</strong>g Officer. Any dispute <strong>in</strong> measurement will be settledby the Presid<strong>in</strong>g Officer of the recruitment board on the spot whose decision will be f<strong>in</strong>al.WRITTEN TEST:STAGE-IIThe candidates who qualified <strong>in</strong> PST/PET above will be required to appear for writtentest compris<strong>in</strong>g of two parts as mentioned below:-PART-I Consists of 50 objective type questions carry<strong>in</strong>g 1mark each to assess the (i) Generalaw<strong>are</strong>ness/General knowledge, (ii) knowledge ofelementary mathematics, (iii) Analytical aptitude, (iv)Ability to observe and dist<strong>in</strong>guish patterns and to testthe (v) basic knowledge of the candidates <strong>in</strong>English/H<strong>in</strong>di. The question papers will be bil<strong>in</strong>gualcan be answered <strong>in</strong> H<strong>in</strong>di or <strong>in</strong> English. The standardof question papers will be of a class 10 passedcandidate.: 50 MarksPART-IITrade test will be separate for each trade and willconsist of both objective/ multiple choice typequestions to assess the knowledge of respective tradefor which a candidate has applied.: 50 MarksThe written test will be for 100 marks and for 2 hours duration. The paper will have to be answeredeither <strong>in</strong> H<strong>in</strong>di or English only. Part-I & II to be answered us<strong>in</strong>g a pen only and use of pencil will notbe allowed.STAGE-IIITRADE TEST(PRACTICAL):- (QUALIFYING IN NATURE) :-The candidates who qualify written test will be put through practical trade test. Dur<strong>in</strong>gtrade test a candidate will be asked to perform any activity perta<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g to that particular trade


for which he has applied. Out of 50 marks for practical trade test a candidate must secure 20marks to qualify..The parameters for each trade will be as under :-CT/Driver : Hav<strong>in</strong>g knowledge of driv<strong>in</strong>g trade, handl<strong>in</strong>g, driv<strong>in</strong>g, park<strong>in</strong>g and ma<strong>in</strong>tenance oflight & heavy vehicles.CT/Fitter : Hav<strong>in</strong>g knowledge <strong>in</strong> auto mobiles fitters/ motor mechanic trade. Handl<strong>in</strong>g of toolsetc.CT/Carpenter : Handl<strong>in</strong>g tools, cutt<strong>in</strong>g of wood, fitt<strong>in</strong>g, polish<strong>in</strong>g and f<strong>in</strong>ish<strong>in</strong>g of materials,knowledge of fitt<strong>in</strong>g of doors and w<strong>in</strong>dows/ fix<strong>in</strong>g of glass panes onw<strong>in</strong>dows, able to make wooden boxes, racks and to make a timber truss.CT/Cobbler : Hav<strong>in</strong>g knowledge of his trade.
