Boomerangs FS sit at the bottom of the tableafter Series One of the inaugural F-League. Witha few close results in the first 5 rounds, theACT based side were left thinking what mighthave been. In Round 3 a major highlight for theBoomerangs was a 5-5 draw with Series Onepace setters Dural Warriors. The Boomerangswere leading in the match all the way to thelast minute when a defensive blunder allowedthe Warriors to share the spoils. Boomerangsare the only side yet to record a victory in theF-League but Series Two will be a different storywith the Boomerangs out with a point to prove.Boomerangs FSSo far the Star for the Boomerangs has beenPlayer/Coach Angelo Konstantinou. Unbeaten after Series One, Rob Varela’s well drilled and experienced sideare genuine title contenders.The Warriors lead on goal difference but will be looking to extend this lead in Series Two.The young Warriors side lead by experienced Futsalroo duo Greg Giovenali and TobiasSeeto have shown they can score from all parts of the court. In Series One they enjoyedlong periods of possession as they worked their opponents around the court looking forthe opportunity to strike. With a lot of the Clubs junior talent getting an opportunity theWarriors will continue to go from strength to strength in Series Two.The Warriors were held to two draws in Series One a shock 5-5 with Boomerangs whichthey were lucky to come away with the points in and the match of Series One 4-4 withMaccabi Hakoah. Maccabi pushed The Warriors all the way and a dramatic late equalizer from theWarriors kept their undefeated streak alive. In Round 1 Dural Warriors recorded the biggest win ofthe F-League so far a 12-4 thumping of Parramatta Blues.Dural WarriorsThe Warriors also have Greg Giovenali leading the wayin the golden boot tally with 11 goals from his 3 starts.Coach Rob Varela was extremely happy with his side’sperformance during Series One “We are happy to be inthe position we are in.
