There was also a Bristol FLF that had been fitted out with a mahogany bar, tables, etc.; its identity is still unknown, unless you know differently!! Jayhawk Bookstore, Lawrence. 805 MHW was the first bus acquired. Green on acquisition, it was repainted into a pale yellow livery with the destination “The JBS Briti-Bus”. Further to my comments in OJ723, it has been confirmed that Bill Muggy (Jayhawk Bookstore) did acquire the engine from LDL 733, a Bristol Lodekka previously in the fleet of Top Deck Travel, when it was broken up in the UK, ca1992/93. The re-registration of FNN 159D has been very professionally done! - even the plate on the stairs has been changed to reflect the chassis and body number of CDL 477C. Whilst here the roof has sustained some damage, and has been replaced by a canvas roof over the first two bays which I believe can be rolled back to make it partial open-top. General Bus Station Grille, Charleston. This opened for business on 27/6/00 to rave reviews in the local papers; we can recommend it too. The FLF’s retain all their running gear, but have been backed right up to the building at two corners, where, having had their rear panels removed, they form extensions to the eating areas; capacity about 12 on each deck of each bus, but not using the original bus seats. Livery: traditional red with one cream band. Inwood Storage, Bunker Hill. For the first two to three years, JKF 979 was parked beside Highway 11 advertising a flea market held there. It was then positioned beside I-81 advertising Bunker Hill Antiques (both are associated ventures of Inwood Storage); this is its current location which is about 10 miles south of Martinsburg. The interior has been gutted and part of the roof has been cut away at some stage; the wooden floors have rotted away in places. Livery is red with pale yellow mudguards; off-side windows have also been painted this colour to make it stand out more from the interstate.
