Along-time wine enthusiast, Bill has been particularly entranced withthe wines of Burgundy. In 1994, when he and his wife Carol relocatedtheir family to Santa Barbara, he discovered that the potential toproduce some of America’s most distinguished versions of Pinot Noirand Chardonnay lay just miles north of his home. Bill hired renownedwinemaker Alan Phillips to assist him in securing vineyard sites andspearheading his dream of producing the benchmark wines of theregion.
