The machine willpredominately be used for smaller farm forestry blocks in the Otago/Southland region. The operator, Matt Waller, is impressed with the powerof the machine as well as having the option of being able to set thetransmission to auto shift, or manual gear selection. He also likes the autoreversing fan, and the option of quick steer or standard orbital steer.Customer: Cox Forestry ServicesModel: John Deere 759JH HarvesterBlain and Luke Cox of Cox Forestry Services, in Hawkes Bay,have taken delivery of the latest John Deere Harvester: a 759JH.The machine was factory-fitted with the Waratah 618 head. All ourtechs had to do was “plug it in” enabling a very quick turnaroundfrom the delivery into New Zealand, to the tree.The components in the cab (screen and keyboard) were fitted-outby John Deere, giving the operator a very well laid out “office”; notsurprising considering John Deere own Waratah. The machine hasa 27-degree forward and 18-degree side leveling ability, making themachine perfect for the Hawkes Bay terrain.Customer: Douglas LoggingModel: John Deere 848H SkidderDouglas Logging Limited has taken delivery of a newgeneration 848H grapple skidder for their Northland operation.The new skidder is equipped with auto shift transmission thatcan be turned on or off at the push of a button, plus a convenient“hand throttle” that can be push-button set.
