COUPLING TYPES AK7, AK10/2 OR AK252WEAR INDICATORIf the handle reaches the back of the cutaway portion ofthe housing, when the coupling head is engaged (Fig 36)there will be play between the towball and coupling head.Automatic re-adjustment is no longer possible and theassembly will need inspecting.3CAUTIONUnder these circumstances, the coupling head can becomedetached from the towball and the caravan/ trailer canbreakaway from the tow vehicle. The coupling head andtowball must therefore be checked IMMEDIATELY beforefuture use.
