These individuals give many hours <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>ir time to coaching, being on <strong>the</strong>committee, and helping at our fundraisers, programs and events. Our departmentwould not be a success without your support. Thank you!Jamie Lynn Shackford was hired in <strong>the</strong> fall as our Recreation Director. She came inand hit <strong>the</strong> ground running, with great ideas and is very enthusiastic about <strong>the</strong> upcomingsummer recreation program and her involvement over <strong>the</strong> summer. She has somegreat things planned. The Rec Committee has revised <strong>the</strong> Summer Rec Program tohaving <strong>the</strong> Rec Director also hold <strong>the</strong> position <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Summer Rec Director, we believe<strong>the</strong> continuity <strong>of</strong> having <strong>the</strong> Rec Director fully involved as in past years <strong>the</strong> program willbe more successful. We continue to work closely with <strong>the</strong> school to provide <strong>the</strong> bestpossible and affordable program for our youth during <strong>the</strong> summer months.If you would like to meet with Jamie to discuss an idea you have about an event orprogram, you can reach her by calling 367-4332 ext.301 or emailing her <strong>of</strong>fice atrec@madison-nh.org she will get back to you at her earliest convenience. The RecDirector’s position is part time working approximately 20 hours per week and she tries tobe available Tuesdays and Thursdays. Jamie would like to bring our sports programsback to full swing again but needs <strong>the</strong> help <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> community by having several peoplefill <strong>the</strong> coaching positions <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> teams, please reach out to her if you are interested.Jamie is excited to be cohosting <strong>the</strong> Boston Flower Show event with <strong>the</strong> Bartlett RecDepartment, Friday March 16 th . This is an adult event and is a fun day for all whoattend taking a luxury bus ride to Boston with entertainment and prizes. Getting an earlyglimpse <strong>of</strong> spring always puts smiles on everyone’s face. If you haven’t already signedup you can do so by contacting Jamie to see if <strong>the</strong>re are any seats left. Also watch for<strong>the</strong> flyers on <strong>the</strong> annual Easter Egg Hunt being held this year <strong>the</strong> Saturday beforeEaster on April 7 th at 10am.In closing, we encourage <strong>the</strong> community to come to our meetings, which are held <strong>the</strong>second Monday <strong>of</strong> each month at 6pm in <strong>the</strong> lower level <strong>of</strong> <strong>Town</strong> Hall.
