General InformationRegistrationAll conference participants including: attendees, spouse/guests,speakers, exhibitors, and award recipients are required to registerfor the conference. Registration will be on Sunday from 4:00 pm– 7:00 pm and Monday and Tuesday from 7:30 am – 3:00 pm inthe Civic Center, West Lobby. The conference registration form isavailable on page 10 of this program.Conference FeesFull conference registration includes admission to all technical sessions,vendor exhibits, annual business meeting, all entertainmentactivities, awards ceremonies and all other association activitiessponsored during the Conference. Conference registration DOESNOT include your meal tickets. See MEALS for further information.MEALSIf you are staying at Boyne Mountain, your meal tickets areincluded as part of your room fee. If you are not staying at BoyneMountain, you may purchase meal tickets separately at the MountainGrand Lodge front desk. Please get your meal tickets as soonas you arrive.Discounted Registration FEESYou can save on your registration fee two ways. If you are anMWEA member, register at the member rate by May 17, 2013.Membership is by individual. Comfortable shoes are strongly recommended.Hotel AccommodationsTo receive the special rate, hotel reservations must be madedirectly with Boyne Mountain by May 23, 2013. After that date,reservations will be honored only on a space-available basis atcurrent room rates. Requests after room block is filled will beplaced in the next available accommodation type with the ratechanging accordingly. Hotel accommodations can be made byreturning the form found on page 11 of this program directly toBoyne Mountain Resort. Please do not send the hotel registrationform to MWEA. Babysitting service is available by contactingBoyne Mountain.Check in/Check outCheck in time at Boyne Mountain Resort is 5:00 p.m. Check outtime is 11:00 a.m.Refunds/CancellationsMWEA will refund your registration fee less a $40 processing feeper person for cancellations received in writing by June 1, 2013.No refunds will be granted after that date. Substitutions may be madeat any time (the difference between a member and non-member pricewill be charged if a non-member replaces a member).Boyne Mountain Resort reservations are subject to a 7-day cancellationpolicy. Sunday Night Welcome ReceptionSunday, June 23 - Reception at 5:30pm / Dinner at 7pm, Deer Lake (rain location, Civic Center)The Welcome Reception will be held at Deer Lake this year. Deer Lake is part of BoyneMountain's property and is located across the street from the Monument Golf Course. Dinner andentertainment will be held outside where you can view the beautiful sunset over Deer Lake. Thereception is at 5:30pm, followed by dinner and entertainment. In case of bad weather, the WelcomeReception will be held in the Civic Center.The Sunday night entertainment this year is a return engagement by XCommunication. Forthose of you who were at Shanty Creek two years ago, nothing more needs to be said. For thosewho may have missed it, you should know that XCommunication features the heart poundingrhythms of such notables as Led Zeppelin and Cream, with offerings from Elvis, U2, the Beatles andothers. If you prefer to rent a solo kayak, the cost is $45 per person.
