It wasimpossible to determine whether lost votes wereintended for Thompson or whether other candidatesalso lost votes. 499Pierce County, WAThe News Tribune reported that new vote tabulationsoftware ran so slowly in Pierce Co. that technicianshad to add memory to the computer system.Election results were delayed. 500Snohomish County, WAAccording to KING 5 News, voters in at least fourpolling precincts reported that they experienced voteswitchingerrors. They explained that the reviewscreen showed they had chosen the opposingcandidate. It took several attempts for each voter tocorrect the mistakes. Review screens showed that thecorrect candidates had been selected.
