User Interface OptionsM-WebN30 Release 2.0 and later can be used withM-Web Release 3.0. M-Web provides aneconomical way for customers to increase systemaccess, locally or remotely, to a Metasys system.M-Series WorkstationsN30 Release 2.0 and later can be used withM-Series Workstations. They are used to definesystem wide characteristics.TotalizationAnalog, Event, and Runtime Totalization objectsallow the tracking of consumable usage, numberof times specific events occur, and how longequipment remains in specified states.Remote Dial-In/OutThis feature allows remote access to your BuildingAutomation System (BAS) in order to:• set Alarm dial-out to a workstation or printerfor specified alarms• dial-in from M-Series Workstations or PC withVT100 emulation• dial-in for commissioning/troubleshootingUser AccessThe N30 Supervisory Controller identifieslegitimate users and their access privilegesthrough password identification. For authorizedusers, using the N30 is easy.Six levels of password protection are available.The authorization levels range from Configure toView Only. Efficient Building OperationThe N30 is specifically tailored to meet the needsof building owners and managers who are lookingfor an affordable way to monitor and controlstandard mechanical systems such as:• dual-duct, single-duct, and packaged airhandling units• rooftop units, unit ventilators, heat pumps,chillers, and boilers• Variable Air Volume (VAV) systemsFlexible SchedulingThe N30 Weekly Scheduling feature allows theuser to define when an event should occur. Anevent can be programmed for any day of the week,holiday, or calendar date.Group ObjectsUsers may define groups for easy facilitymanagement. These groups include devices,points, or other objects according to the user’sneeds.Database ManagementUsers define a database offline or online, eitherdirectly connected to an N30, via the Ethernetnetwork, or from a remote site via a phone line.The users upload/download application specificcontrollers through the N30 without affectingsystem operations.Installation/HardwareSome of the installation and hardware features ofthe N30 include:• DIN rail or wall mount• non-volatile memory to archive all programsand data• communication and alarm Light-EmittingDiodes (LEDs) to allow easy troubleshootingNetwork-Wide System InterlockingInterlocking enables information from one or moreHVAC controllers to trigger a set of controlinstructions to be issued to other HVACcontrollers. It also allows analog or binary data tobe shared between controllers.
