1. Allgemeines
Hydraulische Abschergeräte werden zur Abarbeitung der Schweißgutüberstände
nach der Durchführung der Thermit ® -Schweißung eingesetzt. Sie bieten die technisch
beste, schnellste und unfallsicherste Art der Warmbearbeitung. Der Arbeitsaufwand
der Schweißer und die nachfolgende Schleifarbeit werden vermindert.
Das hydraulische Abschergerät besteht aus Antriebs - und Abschereinheit.
1. General
Hydraulic weld trimmer are used for removing the excess weld metal after performing
the Thermit ® -weld. It offers the technical best, fastest and safest way of trimming.
The energy expended by the welding crew and subsequent grinding operation
are minimized.
The hydraulic weld trimmer consists of a drive unit and a shearing unit.
1. Généralités
L’ébavureuse hydraulique est utilisée pour le tranchage des excès de métal de soudage
restant après l’exécution d’une soudure Thermit ® . Elle offre la meilleure technique
du traitement à chaud qui est plus rapide et en plus très sûr quant aux risques
d’accidents. La diminution de l’investissement en travail des soudeurs et le travail de
meulage subséquent seront réduits.
L’ébavureuse hydraulique se compose de l’entrainement et des unités de tranchage.

materials. From the ergonomic view the U-Series therefore give a considerable

2. Arbeitsweise
Die Abschereinheit (Beispiel Bild 1) wird mit zwei dem Schienenprofil angepassten,
auswechselbaren Scherschuhen (1) ausgerüstet, die durch zwei parallel angeordnete
Hydraulikzylinder (2) aufeinander zubewegt werden und dabei die Schweißgutüberstände
von beiden Seiten abscheren. Die Niederhalter (3), die unter den Schienenkopf
fassen, begrenzen die Schnitthöhe. Die Steuerung erfolgt über ein 4/3-Wege-
Ventil (4).
Die Hydraulikpumpe der Antriebseinheit (6), welche mit verschiedenen Antriebsarten
(siehe Punkt 4.3) lieferbar ist, erzeugt die benötigte Kolbenkraft für die Abschereinheit
immer über einen Öldruck von 500 bar. Die Abschergeschwindigkeit hängt von
der Förderleistung der Antriebseinheit ab.
2. Method of operation
The shearing unit (figure 1) is equipped with two exchangeable shearing blades (1)
shaped to the rail section. Two parallel hydraulic cylinders (2) drive the blades towards
each other, cutting off the risers from both sides. The cutting height is limited
by the down holders (3) which are located under the rail head. The unit is operated
by the 4/3-way valve.
The hydraulic pump of the drive unit (6), which can be delivered with different drive
configurations (see 4.3) generates the necessary pistons force for the driving unit
always with an oil pressure of 500 bar. The speed of shearing depends on the conveying
capacity of the drive unit.
2. Fonctionnement
L‘ unité de tranchage (Par exemple Photo1) est composée d’une paire de couteaux
(1) amovibles adaptés au profil du rail, ceux-ci sont mis en mouvements opposés
l’un vers l’autre par deux cylindres hydrauliques (2) disposés parallèlement qui
cisaillent des deux côtés le métal de soudage restant en saillie. Les serre-flans (3) qui
s’accrochent au dessous du champignon du rail délimitent la hauteur de coupe. La
commande s’effectue à l’aide d’une valve distributrice à 4/3 voies (4).
La pompe hydraulique de l’unité d’entrainement (6) qui génère la force nécessaire du
piston à travers une pression d’huile de 500bar, peut être entrainée avec plusieurs
possibilités sur commande (voir point 4.3). La vitesse du tranchage dépend da la
puissance de production de l’unité d’entrainement.

3. Auswahl der Kombination von
Abscher- und Antriebseinheit
Nach dem Baukastenprinzip lässt sich für jedes Thermit ® -Schweißverfahren die am
besten geeignete Kombination aus Abscher- und Antriebseinheit zusammenstellen.
Bei der Auswahl der Abschereinheit (siehe Punkt 4.1), für die das entsprechende
Thermit ® -Schweißverfahren die Entscheidungsgrundlage bildet, stehen mehrere
Varianten zur Verfügung, die sich unterscheiden nach
• Scherschuhtyp (siehe Punkt 4.2)
• Gewicht, Abmessungen und Niederhaltersystem
3. Selection of the combination of
shearing and driving unit
According to the modularity, for each Thermit ® -welding process the most suitable
combination of shearing and drive unit can be chosen.
A couple of versions are available for choosing the shearing unit (see point 4.1) for
which the corresponding Thermit ® -welding process is the basic for decision. They
vary in:
• Type of shearing blade (see point 4.2)
• weight, dimensions and down holder system

Ébavureuse et Entrainement
La combinaison de l‘ébavureuse et l‘ Entertainment approprié sera choisi a l‘ aide
d‘ un jeu de construction dépendant du Procédé de soudage Thermit ® .
Le choix de l’Ébavureuse approprié (voir Point 4.1) pour le procédé de soudage
Thermit ® est basé sur l’existence de différentes variations qui se distinguent selon
les critères suivants :
• Type de couteaux (voir Point 4.2)
• Poids, dimension et le genre de serre flan

Bei der Bestellung der ausgewählten Abschereinheit sind anzugeben:
• das Schienenprofil

• Informationen, so z.B. ob die Hydraulikschlauchverbindung zur Antriebseinheit

Die zur Auswahl stehenden Antriebseinheiten (siehe Punkt 4.3) unterscheiden sich
nach der Antriebsart der Hydraulikpumpe.
When ordering the selected shearing unit please indicate:
• the rail profil
• the Thermit ® -welding process
• the type of shearing blade
• necessary information, for example whether the hydraulic hose connection is
flanged on the drive unit or whether it should be removable by a bayonet coupling
(see point 4.3).
The range of drive units (see point 4.3) differ in the mode of drive of the hydraulic
pump.

4. Technische Einzelheiten
4.1 Typ der Abschereinheit
Für Breitfußschienen stehen Abschereinheiten mit 200 kN Druckkraft sowie 150 mm
Hub zur Verfügung. Wir empfehlen die Verwendung von Schnelltrennkupplungen.

4.1 Type of shearing unit
For usage on flat bottom rails shearing units are available with 200 kN compressive
force as well as 150 mm maximum stroke. We recommend the usage of bayonet
couplings.

4.1.1 Abschereinheit Typ U-L
Die Druckkraft beträgt 200 kN. Damit lässt sich das Gerät mit Scherschuhen des
Typs A bestücken, die den Schweißgutüberstand am Schienenkopf und zusätzlich die
Fußsteiger abtrennen. Das Gerät kann auf Grund des Nutzhubes von 150 mm bei
allen Thermit ® -Schweißverfahren für Breitfußschienen eingesetzt werden, also auch
bei Schweißungen mit weiter Lücke (bis 75 mm) und bei der Laschenlochschweißung (LSV).
4.1.2 Abschereinheit Typ U-L4
Das Gerät entspricht dem Typ U-L, mit 4 statt 2 Niederhaltern.
Maße: L 698 x B 385 x H 220 mm • Gewicht: U-L 29,5 kg; U-L4 30 kg
4.1.1 Shearing unit Type U-L
The compressive force is 200 kN. Therefore the device can be equipped with shear
blades type A which simultaneously trim the excess weld metal from the rail head
and risers on the rail foot. Due to its maximum stroke of 150 mm the device can be
used for all Thermit ® - welding processes for flat bottom rails. That includes welds
with wide gaps (up to 75 mm) and the LSV-process (welding process combining the
fishplate hole).
4.1.2 Shearing unit Type U-L4
The device corresponds to version U-L, with four instead of two down holders.

4.1.5 Abschereinheit Typ U-L-RK
Das Modell U-L-RK ist eine Sonderentwicklung für die Abscherung von Schweißgutüberständen
an Kran-, Rillen-und Breitfußschienen. Es ist somit universell einsetzbar.
Je nach Schienentyp sind auswechselbare Niederhaltereinsätze (VK für Vignol-und
Kranbahnschienen; r für rillenschienen außer Ph37a und R-Ph37a -> hier ist ein
extra Niederhaltereinsatz erforderlich) und dazugehörige Anschlagkörper – spezifiziert
für das abzuscherende Schienenprofil – zu montieren. Damit sind eine niedrige
Schnitthöhe und der Verdrehschutz der Niederhalter beim Abscheren aller Schienenprofile
gewährleistet.
4.1.5 Shearing unit Type U-L-RK
The model U-L-RK is modified for shearing off the excess weld metal of Thermit ® -
welds in crane, grooved and flat bottom rails. Therefore the device is to be used
universally.
Depending on the rail type, exchangeable down holder guides (VK for flat bottom
and crane rails; R for grooved rails except Ph37a; R-Ph37a -> here is a separate hold
down device necessary) and associated stop elements- specified for the rail profile
which will be sheared off- have to be inserted. Consequently the cutting height is
limited and the guides are prevented from twisting during the shearing operation for
all types of rail profiles.
4.1.5 Ébavureuse de type U-L-RK
Ce model U-L-RK est une fabrication spéciale pour le tranchage des excès de soudures
restant en saillie pour les rails à Grue, a Gorge et Vignole. Il a par conséquent
une utilisation universelle.
Monter selon le type des serres-flans échangeables (VK pour rail Vignole, K pour
rail à Grue et R pour rail à Gorge sauf Ph37a, R-Ph37a -> ici un extra serre pièce est
indispensable) et leurs corps de butée –spécifiés pour le tranchage des rails-. A ce
moment vous obtenez une hauteur de coupe minimale ainsi qu’une stabilité contre
la rotation des serres-flans au moment du tranchage pour tous les profile de rail.

4.2 Scherschuhe
Die Scherschuhe sind profilangepasst. Ihre Schnittkanten bestehen aus verschleißund
warmfestem Stahl.
Bei Bestellung bitte den Scherschuhtyp, das Schienenprofil und das Thermit ® -
Schweißverfahren angeben.
der scherschuh typ b ist nicht geeignet für die Verfahren HPW, skV,
skV-elite, soW-5.
4.2 Shear Blades
The shear blades are designed to fit the rail profile. The cutting edges are made of
wear and heat resistant steel.
When ordering, please indicate the type of shear blades, the rail profile and the
Thermit ® -welding process.
shear blade type b is not appropriate for the HPW, skV, skV-elite and
soW-5 process.
4.2 Paires de couteaux
Les couteaux d’ébavureuse sont modulés selon les profiles des rails.
Les arêtes de coup sont constitues des métaux résistants contre l’usure et contre la
chaleur.
Lors de la commande veuillez nous mentionner le type des couteaux, le profil de rail
ainsi que le procédé de soudage Thermit ® que vous utiliser.
les couteaux de type b sont inadaptés pour les procédés de soudages

4.3.1 Antriebseinheit Handpumpe
Die stabile Doppelkolben-Handpumpe mit Aluminium-Gehäuse wird nur an die
Abschereinheit montiert geliefert. Sie erhöht das Gewicht der Abschereinheit um
7 kg. Der aufsteckbare Handhebel wiegt 1,7 kg. Die Verbindung der Handpumpe
mit dem Steuerventil der Abschereinheit erfolgt über Hydraulikschläuche nach DIN
210222. Die zwei 600 mm langen Schläuche werden entweder fest montiert oder
lösbar mit Schnelltrennkupplung geliefert (empfohlen).
4.3.2 Antriebseinheit Bauart L mit Elektromotor
Die Antriebseinheit - bestehend aus leichter Hydraulikpumpe mit Wechselstrommotor
(0,55 kW, 230 V)- hat ein Gewicht von 16 kg und eine Förderleistung von 0,85 l/
min und wird bevorzugt an die Abschereinheit montiert geliefert.
Die Verbindung der Antriebseinheit mit dem Steuerventil der Abschereinheit erfolgt
über Hydraulikschläuche nach DIN 210222. Die zwei 600 mm langen Schläuche werden
4.3.1 Drive unit hand pump
The stable twin piston hand pump in aluminium case is only available flanged on the
shearing unit. The weight of the weld trimmer is increased by 7 kg. Weight of detachable
hand lever: 1.7 kg. The hand pump is connected to the 4/3-way valve of the
shearing unit by hydraulic hoses according to DIN 210222. The 600 mm long hoses
will be delivered either coupled or removable with bayonet coupling (recommended).
4.3.2 Drive unit type L with electric motor
The drive unit- consisting of a light hydraulic pump with electric motor (0.55 kW, 230
V AC) - has a weight of 16 kg and a capacity of 0.85 l/min and is preferably delivered
flanged to the shearing unit.
The drive unit is connected to the 4/3-way valve of the shearing unit by hydraulic
hoses according to DIN 210222. The 600 mm long hoses will be delivered either

courant alternatif (0,55 kW, 230 V)- pèse 16 kg et possède une Puissance absorbée
de 0,85 l/min. elle est livre déjà préinstallé a l’ébavureuse.
Y compris les éléments de fixation et les tuyaux augmentera cette unité
d’entrainement le poids de l’ébavureuse de 15kg.

4.3.3 Separate Antriebseinheiten
Weitere Antriebseinheiten werden aus Gewichtsgründen nur separat angeboten. Die
in einem Öltank mit Tragrahmen montierte Hydraulikpumpe mit einer Förderleistung
von 1,8 l/min wird wahlweise mit den Motoren lt.Tabelle bestückt.
Die genannten Gewichte schließen die zwei an der Pumpe fest montierten Hydraulikschläuche
von je 7000 mm Länge samt Schnelltrennkupplungen zum Anschluss an
die Druckeinheit ein.

4.3.3 Separate drive units
Further drive units are only offered separately due to weight limit. The hydraulic
pump with a capacity of 1.8 l/min is incorporated in an oil tank surrounded by a
frame with handles. Various engines can be used as mentioned in the table. The
named weights include the two hydraulic hoses (each 7000 mm lengths) flanged to
the pump, including bayonet couplings for connection to the pressure unit.
4.3.3 Unités d’entraînement séparées
Plusieurs autres unités moteurs d‘ entrainement séparés peuvent être proposées séparément
a cause de leurs poids. La Pompe hydraulique monte sur un cadre porteur
avec un bac d’huile avec une Puissance absorbée de 1,8 l/min peut être équipé selon
le choix du client avec des moteurs d’après le tableau ci dessus.
Les poids cités doivent être conclu à celui de la pompe avec ses deux tuyaux hydrauliques
préinstallés de longueur 7000 mm aussi que les fiches d’accouplement au
poids de l’ébavureuse.
