<strong>Nevada</strong> Alcohol and DrugAbuse Counselor RequirementsLicensed/CertifiedCounselorsClinicalSupervisors<strong>Nevada</strong> Administrative Code 641C (NAC 641C.300)requires that all licensed or certified alcohol and drugcounselors earn 40 hours <strong>of</strong> continuing educationhours during a two-year period <strong>of</strong> licensure orcertification, <strong>of</strong> which three hours must pertain toethics and three hours must pertain to confidentialityand HIPAA.Licensed counselors who supervise certified internsmust attend at least ten hours <strong>of</strong> continuing educationin counseling supervision, ethics, and <strong>Nevada</strong> lawduring the two-year certification period.
