Created by the CaliforniaSustainable <strong>Wine</strong>growing <strong>As</strong>sociation in cooperation with the California<strong>As</strong>sociation of <strong>Wine</strong>grape Growers, and launched officially inJanuary 2010, this certification program represents an evolution andformalization of the eight-year-old Sustainable <strong>Wine</strong>growing Program(SWP). CCSW certification now includes a third-party verification of awinery’s adherence to a process of continuous improvement in itsadoption of sustainable winegrowing practices. It is the first statewideprogram available to both wineries and vineyards.
